{"id":1991,"date":"2013-01-06T12:23:36","date_gmt":"2013-01-06T11:23:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sciences-medias.fr\/blogs\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=1991"},"modified":"2023-01-27T20:34:52","modified_gmt":"2023-01-27T19:34:52","slug":"fellowships-erice-summer-program-2013","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/sciences-medias.fr\/blogs\/event\/fellowships-erice-summer-program-2013\/","title":{"rendered":"Fellowships Erice Summer Program 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the 2013 edition (May 25th-May 29th, 2013), the <a href=\"http:\/\/ericescijc.wordpress.com\/2013\/01\/28\/the-erice-international-school-of-science-journalism-announces-30-fellowships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Erice International School of Science Journalism<\/a> grants\u00a0<strong>30 fellowships for members of EU-countries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Fellowships are aimed at science journalists, science communicators and students in science journalism and communication.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>The selection requires:<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; For science journalists: at least three years of professional experience working\/freelancing for general or popular science media;<br \/>\n&#8211; For science communicators: at least three years of professional experience working in a scientific organization, science museum or science centre or as a free lancer in a position of press officer, curator, editor of (web) publications, organizer of outreach activities or similar;<br \/>\n&#8211; For students: being a student in a master program in science journalism or science communication.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates should send their CV and a motivation letter in which they describe:<br \/>\n1. their plans for their professional future<br \/>\n2. why they think participating in the summer school would benefit their career<br \/>\n3. how they perceive the challenge of communicating on neuroscience \u2013 and notably magnetic resonance imaging, which is the theme of the summer school this year \u2013 in general and in their current or future position.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fellowships will cover:<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; The fee of the School<br \/>\n&#8211; Travel expenses to and from Erice<br \/>\n&#8211; Staying in Erice<\/p>\n<p><strong>The members of the selection committee are:<\/strong><br \/>\nFred Balvert, Rita Bertelli, Umberto Dosselli, Fabio Turone<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please send your application for a fellowship:<\/strong><br \/>\nCV (max. 1 page) and motivation letter (max. 1 page) to Rita Bertelli, e-mail: EISSJC (at) LNF.INFN.IT<\/p>\n<p><strong>The deadline for applications is March 1, 2013<\/strong>.<br \/>\nApplications which should reach us after this date will not be taken into consideration.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For the 2013 edition (May 25th-May 29th, 2013), the Erice International School of Science Journalism grants\u00a030 fellowships for members of EU-countries.
